David’s approach combines technical understanding with body awareness, active listening and adaptability. He focuses on how partners meet through the music and respond to one another in social dancing.
Tradition and improvisation
His teaching draws on classic Kizomba and African diasporic rhythms while exploring contemporary movement and groove. Improvisation and connection are recurring themes in his classes.
Teaching and community projects
Alongside workshops and bootcamps, David works on community-focused initiatives through Kizomba Umbrella. He also creates dance videos documenting street improvisation and social dance.
